Aqui Estamos! It's Time! LLEAD Michigan's 2018 Conference is Friday, October 12th at the Lansing Center at 333 E. Michigan Avenue Lansing, MI  48933 (Phone: 517-483-7400). The luncheon speaker is Jose Angel Gutierrez, professor emeritus from UT-Arlington and co-founder of  the early 1970s La Raza Unida Party. Gutierrez is the author of several books on civil rights and Chicano activists including A Gringo Manual on How to Handle Mexicans, A Chicano Manual on How to Handle Mexicans, biographies on Reies Lopez Tijerina,  San Antonio Judge Albert A. Peña Jr. and on Chicana elected officials.
