Adrian is the sixth LLEAD chapter in Michigan. The community’s roots in farmworker advocacy date back to the United Farm Workers Union of Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta, the Chavez family developed close friendships in Adrian and visited often.

Today, the chapter promotes voter registration and civic engagement, supports local cultural events, and works on education, immigrant family support, and mental health across Lenawee County, in partnership with other social justice and labor organizations.
