Bay City is LLEAD’s eighth chapter. The community has a deep history of Chicano and Latino advocacy dating back to the 1960s (consider naming the Bay City American GI Forum and Spanish Speaking Representative Council here, if confirmed).

Today, a Steering Committee is working with LLEAD’s State Board Development Committee to build the chapter’s initial structure, the chapter’s members will set its goals and direction under the chapter and state bylaws.
