Holland was one of the three founding communities of LLEAD itself, Latinx leaders from Holland, Lansing, and Saginaw came together in November 2013 to build a statewide organization.

The Holland chapter formally launched in 2016 as LLEAD’s third chapter, and has since built real local partnerships: the chapter supported and hosted director John Valadez’s film The Head of Joaquin Murrieta, and has coordinated Crisis Response training sessions directly with the City of Holland.
