Mid-Michigan is one of LLEAD’s founding chapters, tracing back to the organization’s first meetings in 2013. Chapter chair Yesenia Murillo brings direct public health leadership experience from her role at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and also chaired LLEAD’s 2024 Statewide Conference planning committee.

The chapter collaborates closely with social justice and labor organizations across the region.
