Saginaw is one of LLEAD’s founding chapters, dating back to the organization’s earliest meetings in 2013.

Under Chairwoman Christiana Malacara, a Michigan Hispanic/Latino Commission “Latino Legacy Leader” and local radio journalist — the chapter has promoted voter registration, cultural events, and civic engagement, with a focus on education, immigrant family support, and mental health.

In 2024, LLEAD Saginaw partnered with Delta College to host a Latina Leadership Panel for Hispanic Heritage Month.
